Spatial Illustrations | 2018
These series of 2D Spatial Illustrations were inspired by environments I was surrounded by, and series of self-made structures experimenting with various materials. These works allowed me to bring real-life spaces into 2D versions, expanding my knowledge on digital rendering softwares.
Skills Demonstrated: Photoshop, Illustrator, model making, pencil hand-drawing
DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS
Model Making + Photoshop, Illustrator

Inspired by the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa by Thomas Heatherwick. Using cardboard paper and mesh, I have designed a model, and further rendered it using Photoshop to create a collection of community apartment buildings.

Photoshop rendering from physical conceptual model. Using mesh, plastic string and laser cut balsa wood, I took inspiration from the forms of a fingerprint.

Collecting and assembling recycled metal pieces, I have envisioned a public space. These unusual shapes form an interaction between space and people.
STUDY DRAWINGS
Pencil Drawings

Inspired by an exhibition seen at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, I was intrigued with how mirrors could give a sense of space and illusion.

Located on YuYuan road in Shanghai, China, Seesaw Cafe, I explored the aspects of its interior. Studying shape/form and contrast, its simple and modern design is what attracts most of the audience.
